Kind coworker agrees to watch employee's cat and finds strange symbols in their basement, leaving him wondering what else goes on there

Howdy and happy weekend, feline fam. We've got a spooky story for you on this purrfectly auspicious Sunday. Imagine you are a simple purrson who loves cats (so far, so good), and one of your coworkers asks you to check up on their cats for a few days while they're gone. You agree because you're a good purrson, and any chance to meet a new cat is a pawsitive opportunity. So you go over to their house to meet their cute cat, and you get bored, leading you to wander around their house.

They maybe have the occasional knick-knack here and odd item there, but everything seems purrfectly normal. That is, until you get to the basement. Upon arriving at the base of the stairs, you see a wooden board covered in strange symbols, looking like something out of a ritualistic ceremony. What could it be?     It makes me feel weird. I don't know what it is or how it got here but I guess it's like a cat thing? I only have dogs so I would not know but that is the only thing that's been different in my life the last couple days so I have to assume it's feline related. is it?

  • Oh, it's definitely feline-related, just not in the way they probably think it is. The cat is definitely planning something devious down there. Or, this is a new way to contact the meowthership without wifi. Either way, it looks like trouble for these pawrents.

  • If it is a Ouija board, that's the biggest one we've ever seen. And since we don't understand the symbols, it won't really be of much use to us. Best not to mess with it, though, you don't want the cat spirits to get angry at you.
